High Security Data Center Access

The Problem

Data access centers need very tight security and passwords to gain access to these data center are just not enough.   Password management, like keys, can be very difficult to manage, time consuming, and not secure enough.   Hiring a full time network administrator to manage passwords can be expensive and a security risk.   Biometrics like retinal or iris scanning, fingerprints, or face recognition are still in their infancy and can be very expensive to implement, difficult to maintain, and they can be unreliable.

The Solution

When a user wants to gain access to the data center they can use Dial a Key to retrieve the current combination for the data center.   The user must enter in valid information before the combination is delivered.   The user then enters the combination into the data centers access point and if the combination is correct the user is granted access.   The combination is validated using the Dial a Key web service.   The web service can be configured to only allow a certain number of incorrect attempts to be made from the same computer before sending out an e-mail alerting the appropriate people to the possible security breach.   The computer can also be denied access to the web service for a pre-determined amount of time if they exceed the maximum number of retry attempts.   Access to Dial a Key can easily be granted or denied to users, using our easy to use secure website.
