The Problem
Drivers and employees arrive at the post office at all times during the day.
These employees and drivers need keys to open doors and enter the post office.
When a driver or employee is ill, on vacation, or otherwise not on the job,
keys must be duplicated or issued to a replacement driver or employee.
This process can be very time consuming and expensive.
The Challenge
How to control access without the difficult key management and lock re-keying?
The Solution
The post office can replace their existing locks with a ten-digit key pad locking device that generates
combinations daily or more often if needed.
When a driver or employee needs to enter the post office they can call
Dial a Key and the automated telephone service will give them a combination
if all information the driver or employee enters is accurate.
The driver or employee then enters the combination into the locking device and if correct the door will open.
When the employee or driver is not on the job other employees can still enter the building without creating new keys.
If the driver or employee leaves the company the "Key Master" can log into our
secure website and deactivate their account and they will no longer be able to retrieve the combination for the door locks.
Please click here for a more detailed explanation on how to retrieve a combination using Dial a Key.
The Benefits
There are many benefits to using the Dial a Key system, they include:
- No locksmith
- No keys
- Detailed activity logs
- High Security
- Member access to different locations managed via a secure web site
- Combinations are changed daily at midnight (or more often if needed)
