The Problem

Transit authorities are under pressure to accept credit card payments from customers to pay for fares.   New and very expensive equipment and infastructure would be required to implement credit card sales.   This would also prove to be more convinent for customers if the transit authorities accepted credit card payments.

To allow transit authorities to accept credit card payments from customers at a cost effective price for the equipment and infastrcture.

The Solution

Ticket dispensing machines can be installed that print a one day transit pass when a correct Dial a Key combination is entered.   There is very little additional equipment expenses for these ticket dispensing devices.   The customer's account is only charged once a month for the fares they have accumulated over the month.   Credit card charges are minimized by the once per month charges -  Only one transaction fee per month, rather than a daily transaction fee.
